Lets examine one of the BEST conterfeit phones we have run across, a knockoff our our 328RR. Below is a picture of both bases

The bases look similar but look closely and you will see the top row of buttons is different. The original 328RR has transfer, hold, memory, etc. The counterfeit has only H1, H2, H3, etc. The original has Caller ID indication, the counterfeit does not (it has no caller ID). Lets further examine the bases:

The counterfeit base and the original look similar. But look closely and you will see some pretty major diffrences.

Like a child's toy, the interface jack is nothing more that a decoration on the plastic! On the original 328RR, we use the interface jack to hook it up to a computer. Remember, this is the BEST counterfeit we have found! Now lets look at the handset.

Notice the battery contacts on the fake handset - garbage.

On the counterfeit model the jog dial turns up an down only, it is used simply for volume adjustment. On the real phone the jog dial goes up/down and may be pressed inward to access advanced menu functions and to initiate over the air programming.

How can you tell if a phone is counterfeit? If you see a 328RR advertised for $249 it is a fake. The price is the biggest clue. Also any reputable company will have payment methods other than "western union" or similar money transfer services and a phone # that you can call to talk to a human being during business hours. If you are unsure contact us and we will tell you if a certain company is authorized to sell our products.
Remember - ACS phones are assembled by robots on an ISO 9001 certified assembly line in Taiwan. They are used by the United States Military, British Special Forces, Public Telephone Companies, and other important orginazations.
