The CT 3000 is a perfect choice for the user requiring a long communication range in an area with a lot of hills and valleys, or even mountains. This is the popular model among customers in these areas because the frequency on which the CT3000 operates "bends" with the terrain. This frequency does not have a lot of penetration power (to get through buildings and thick foliage), so this unit is best suited for open spaces.
