The ACS G-3 base amplifier is manufactured to the highest quality standards in our German ISO 9001 factory. This 25w bi-directional amplifier is precision matched to work with the ACS 258R and 328RR long range cordless phones.

The G-3 delivers a staggering 100km communication range when used in conjunction with our G-2m or G-3m handset amplifiers or the SX-30 remote terminal.

How does it work?
In an un-amplified system, the cordless phone base unit sends out a signal to a passive external antenna. Compensation of the losses in the cable between the base unit and the external antenna cause signal strength to degrade. By the time the signal reaches the external antenna it is substantially weaker than when it originated from the base station.

Our G-3 amplifier is housed within the external antenna and receives power via a separate power supply located at the base station. The amplifier improves the receiving tract sensitivity by capturing the weaker signal and then amplifying it directly at the antenna. There is no cable to travel through, thus minimal signal loss.

The result is a powerful, and exceptionally clean, 25w signal transmission. Additionally, testing shows transmission quality actually increases after passing through the G-3 (even over short distances).

We supply 30 meters of low loss PK-211u cable equipped with TNC and PL-259 connectors. These connectors have been selected to insure high quality performance (we have tested different types). Also supplied is a 110-240v power supply with anti switching circuitry and thermal protection.

The G-3's precision electronics and high quality construction are designed for years of trouble free operation. The oversized forged aluminum heat sync, weather resistant enclosure, stabilized air cooled power supply, etc, make it clear that this system means business. Everything down to the antenna, which is rated for wind speeds in excess of 200km per hour, is built to last. Some may call this level of quality overkill, but to us it is the only way to manufacture our products.

Maximum range:
It is strongly recommended that the G-3 be used in conjunction with a G-2m or G-3m handset amplifier or the SX30 remote terminal . Without the a handset amplifier or SX30, the range delivered by the G-3 will not be much greater than the less powerful (7w) G2. Here's why:

In a G-3 amplified system, the handset will work within 50km of the base station. The handset is capable of receiving a signal up to 100km away, but it does not have enough power to transmit that signal back. It is therefore necessary to amplify the T/X power on the handset by adding a G-2m or G-3m handset amplifier. These handset amplifiers will allow the user to communicate with the base station up to 100km away. A SX-30 remote terminal is also powerful enough to allow T/X - R/X transmission 100km away from the base.
