The ACS Wireless BTS GSM Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is a base station that can accommodate up to three TRX radios. BTSs are available in all three GSM frequency bands: 900 MHz and 1800 MHz, and 1900 MHz. The BTS connects the mobile user to the network with no need for additional components. It is used to increase system capacity and coverage; it adds communication channels to the cellular system or extends cellular service to outlying areas. The BTS can be located remotely from the other system components and connected to them via copper, fiber, or radio. The BTS utilizes several types of internal interfaces, including GSM-standard Um, Abis, and AInterfaces.
